The Uber earnings report and the Lyft earnings report for the last quarter of 2020 has been released. With the earnings report comes the earnings call for the rideshare companies. On the call, both the Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi and Lyft CEO Logan Green said that they have concerns about the demand for rideshare increasing while the driver supply remains the same or may even shrink. In this video, RSG contributor Chris covers this and what it could mean in the form of rate increase for drivers.

I got kicked off lyft for a false accusation of pulling a gun on a passenger and driving her to destination . no police report just made sure the ride was free and I got fired .
To dangerous to drive in these cities because of all the crime.
He said it's like steering the Titanic…. LOL that is so true cause uber and lyft are sinking fast!
How about going back to the beginning and paying drivers a true 80% of the fare, and stop being so greedy and screwing the drivers over and over again. If the minimum wage ever gets to 15 dollars per hour they would not be able to compete.
A great segment 👍
They are full of shit, they created this so they can justify the reason for the need of autonomous vehicles.
They took me offline for a background check and it's been a month a they still have not reviewed it so I deleted the app.
I’m planning on coming back once I’m fully vaccinated. I’m still driving, but only for a kids’ rideshare app, where I drive the same kids for recurring rides. I have a plexiglass barrier between the front and back seats.
I've doin ride share for just over 2 years and 11000 riders but as of late driving for Uber here in Kansas City has begun to be a bit unprofitable due to the travel time to pick up a rider. An example this week was a 12 minute travel time to pickup rider for a 6 minute ride but when I got there I find out that it has a 17 minute wait till pickup. Over 30 minutes to get paid $6.32. if that had been my first Uber run ever it would have been my last Uber run ever. They need to figure their thing out, they really really do if they're going to encourage drivers to come out and drive especially with the gas prices increasing like they are.
When I started working for Uber Eats in the beginning of 2019. We in South Florida we're getting paid $0.30 per minutes and the rates were just right. And then they gave us these run around Shenanigans about lowering our rate for advertising purposes, and upgrading the app, which was a crock of shit in my opinion. Because the pay decrease from $0.30 a minute was slashed more than half, to $.12 sent a minutes and then they did another wage cuts and another wage cut to the point where you're driving 9 miles for a delivery for $4
Great video 👍👍
Lyft owns the largest bikeshare network outside of China. Drivers are not in short supply for bicycle riders ❤️
Uber and Lyft wouldn't have a driver problem if they didnt use CHECKR to do background checks as I have been deactivated for almost 2 months due to a pending background check that hasn't been completed. Meanwhile I have a uber/Hertz rental car and new means to earn as uber support has to me 3 to 5 days each time I reach out for a resolution.
Thanks uber for effectively laying me
I’m a Lyft driver & a rider just revealed to me two days ago that he was charged $15.79 for a .4 mile trip distance ride that I drove 5.5 miles to get to and only got paid $3 for it as usual. Lyft is surging the prices for rides in the rider app and the drivers NOT knowing anything about it. Please Please Please Please make a video about this situation 🙏🙏🙏🙏🤫🤔Thanks
I am a driver for Uber i still drive while this is going on I think the rider and uber to pay more I do runs that take me 20 mins to get to the person without pay and due to pay and drive there is 2 city's that lose users after 8pm and I do it because I don't want my score dont go down
I only drive Uber to help get to my set goals. Lyft is way more lucritive than Uber. Even riders say Uber is trash compared to Lyft. UBER should only be driven if you did not hit your goal with Lyft or another service.
You want more drivers raise rates!
Uber and Lyft will alter rules when the demand is high. When demand is low you be pushed backwards. For example; the point system from Uber. All those phases have already happened in Houston Texas. I have to mix it up with food delivery. It will be interesting to see when people return to their lost jobs.
I just can't understand why they can't get Drivers they treat them so good and the Drivers make great pay!
I’m still driving. Making good money
done with uber. even if they add more money. its not worth my time.
Is anyone still driving Lyft or uber around the San Fransisco area? Every driver I met said they were making pretty good money there.
Let's be clear – only 5% last a year. It's not as easy as driving around picking up requests. In my market, they are offering quests but it's no compensation for extra cleaning requirements.
I am coming back and would like more money
Uber is full of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I drive for Lyft and my pet peeve is the multiple stop rides. Always the same thing from the rider – "I will just be a few minutes." Minimum of 10 minutes on almost every passenger. Then they express gratitude for me waiting and say "I'll give you a good tip on the app" – I rarely see a tip! My recommendation is Lyft pay me $1.00 per minute when I am waiting between stops. I feel that would be fair.
Triple driver pay rate = more drivers. Problem solved.
